About Adam Waxer

Adam is responsible for all legal and compliance matters at St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children, one of the nation's premier pediatric post-acute providers of intensive rehabilitation and specialized care for children with special needs and life-limiting conditions. As General Counsel and Corporate Compliance Officer, Mr. Waxer is the key legal and compliance advisor to senior management and the Board of Directors and is responsible for overseeing all legal and compliance matters. His knowledge of federal and state fraud and abuse, healthcare, corporate and regulatory laws and related legal issues facilitate his developing, structuring and implementing legal structures that pertain to corporate, hospital, nursing home, facility and physician joint ventures. Prior to joining St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children, Adam held similar in house counsel roles at various healthcare providers. Adam was also a transactional and regulatory/compliance healthcare attorney at Garfunkel, Wild, P.C, one of the preeminent healthcare law firms. Mr. Waxer is a member of the New York State Bar Association, American Health Lawyers Association and Association of Corporate Counsel. Adam earned a J.D. from Hofstra University and a B.S. from The University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
