About Adam Wells

I am an educator and emergency services professional with over 15 years of experience in teaching, training, and public safety. My journey began with a Bachelor of Education in Health & Physical Education, followed by a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, equipping me with a strong foundation to teach in Canberra high schools from 2007 to 2011. In 2011, I took a significant step in my career by joining ACT Fire & Rescue, where I proudly serve to this day. My role has expanded over the years, including specializations as a vertical and rope rescue technician, and a swift water rescue technician, backed by a Certificate IV in Public Safety (Firefighting Supervision). Driven by a passion for first aid and emergency response, I founded ACTWELL First Aid & Training in 2012. What started as a solo venture has grown into a dedicated team of over 20 professionals. In 2019, we broadened our impact with the launch of ACTWELL Fire. My approach is always with a smile and the energy to match. With 12 years at Fire & Rescue and 13 years commitment to Surf Lifesaving Australia, I am deeply dedicated to safety and emergency response. My goal has always been to deliver high-quality education and training, ensuring that every course at ACTWELL is up to the highest standards. The vision I had when starting ACTWELL was clear: to empower everyday people to make life-saving decisions in critical moments. To date, we have trained over students, a milestone that reflects our team's hard work and the trust of our community. I am proud of what we've achieved at ACTWELL, and I am excited about the future as we continue to educate and empower individuals in first aid, fire safety, and emergency response.
