About Me I am an experienced educator who has taught a wide range of students in both Toronto, Canada, and London, England. I am currently an Assistant Curriculum Leader of English at a secondary school within the Toronto District School Board, where I design and deliver structured, engaging, and culturally responsive & relevant lessons. My teaching practice emphasizes clear learning goals, ongoing assessment for/as learning, and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Teaching Philosophy My lesson planning is guided by reflective, equity-focused questions such as: What knowledges are omitted from the curriculum? Whose voices are underrepresented in my teaching? How can I embed deep learning and critical reflection to support students in exploring their intersectional identities? I strive to create inclusive classrooms that support student voice, critical thinking, and authentic learning opportunities. Educational Leadership Philosophy How are our instructional practices and course materials helping all students, particularly those who are underserved, to achieve success, feel connected, and take pride in their learning experience? How can we nurture a department culture where sharing resources and aligning assessment practices support consistency, uphold standards, and respect individual teaching styles? How can we use both quantitative data, such as achievement and attendance records, and qualitative data, such as student feedback and work samples, to guide thoughtful, realistic, and collaborative improvements in teaching and learning?
