About Adara Blake

Adara is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, a Speech-Language Pathologist licensed in California and New York, certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and has engaged in full-spectrum doula coursework with Indie Birth Association and Doula Trainings International. Adara completed her Bachelors in Communicative Sciences and Disorders at New York University, her lactation training and Masters in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her clinical fellowship in speech therapy at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient pediatric settings as both a lactation consultant and a speech therapist. She is also a certified instructor of the Hanen Centre’s More Than Words® and TalkAbility™ programs for parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Adara is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based support. Outside of work, she loves seeing Broadway shows, and continues to learn about food justice and land stewardship as a student of Soul Fire Farm.
