About Addison Kalmbach

I view challenges as opportunities as I chase new goals in order to make myself a more rounded journalist and storyteller. As a senior at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, I am majoring in sports journalism with a minor in business. Since coming to Arizona State University, I have been able to gain experience that pushed me out of my comfort zone. Through these experiences, I gained experience working with various sports, teams, and athletes that range from high school to professional fields. My experience has led me to cover the Phoenix Suns and have the opportunity to interview players such as Devin Booker, Deandre Ayton, Mikal Bridges, and Damian Lee and also attend the Kevin Durant introductory press conference. I have also had the opportunity to work in broadcast and media operations through FOX. At FOX, I worked the FIFA Women's World Cup, College and NFL Football, MLB, and Racing, and even had the opportunity to observe FOX News and Business. My experience does not just pertain to sports. I interned at PHOENIX Magazine where I had the chance to write about local businesses and community life in Arizona. I am also the host of a radio show called "The State of the State" that airs on Blaze Radio.
