I have amassed over 11 years work experience in the financial services space. Within this time, I have been involved in financial crimes investigations, KYC Reviews and prevention of financial crimes for both crypto and fiat transactions. I have also carried out risk assessments, escalations and reporting of identified risks, as well as being actively involved in mitigation of these identified risks. I am highly skilled in enforcement and update of compliance standards and policies within business units, products and services; as well as end-to-end complaints handling and resolution. As part of my experience, I have led and been a part of the Compliance and risk teams both in a cross border multi diverse fintech, as well as established Financial Institutions ensuring adherence to Global AML/CFT standards. At different times, I have facilitated Compliance trainings and directly improved the Compliance culture within Companies, advocated customer-centricity, demonstrated great team spirit, empathy, being an excellent communicator and worked collaboratively with specialists and the Business to deliver memorable customer outcomes.
