About Adela Perijoc

Senior Project Manager with a technical background, a people-first mindset, and a sense of humor that somehow survives even the toughest sprints. I started my career as a QA tester, grew into QA automation, and later led an automation team - quality, detail, and empathy for engineers are baked into how I work. That hands-on experience gave me a strong foundation in understanding both the technical and human sides of software development. Currently, I lead a core team responsible for maintaining 20+ microservices in the AWS cloud, with a stack that includes.NET on the back end and ReactJS on the front end. My team is highly technical, and while I don't write code anymore, I make it a point to stay close to the tech. I understand what’s being built, why it matters, and how to support the team in delivering it. I’m also unapologetically obsessed with Jira. Dashboards, filters, burndown charts. I use them not just for tracking, but for creating clarity and visibility across teams and stakeholders.(It’s also a weird kind of fun) What really sets me apart is how I lead people. I care genuinely about each team member, their growth, their mental load, and how they’re doing beyond just deliverables. I listen, I adapt, I coach when needed and I know when to step back. Emotional intelligence is core to how I operate. I try to create a space where people feel safe to speak up, make mistakes, and be themselves, because that’s when real collaboration happens. I'm highly organized, love a good process (as long as it actually helps), and I’m equally comfortable being the funny one in the room or the person keeping everyone focused and calm when things get hectic. Outside of work? I’m into DIY everything: crochet, painting, crafting and recently 3D printing are my go-to creative outlets. I believe a little creativity (and a glue gun) can fix just about anything.
