About Adele Gautier

In my 12 years at Breast Cancer Foundation NZ, I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with two excellent, empowering CEOs. With their support and trust, I’ve been able to develop bold, innovative strategies and programmes, and take those through to implementation (by far the hardest part of any great idea in the health sector). Innovation is the key driver of our work at BCFNZ. I have built a track record in identifying gaps in breast cancer treatment and support, then finding or developing evidence-based innovation to solve the problem. I have made innovative use of data to drive strategy and programmes. I take a creative, persistent, energetic and determined approach to improving aspects of breast cancer diagnosis and care for Kiwi women. From a governance perspective, I work closely with BCFNZ’s Medical Advisory Committee and when apporpriate with the Board. I have a small, high-calibre Research & Strategic Programmes team reporting to me. I recruit great team members and love working with them. I also represent BCFNZ in the media and (by personal invitation) on national and international working groups. Prior to BCFNZ, I worked in technology, communications and PR.
