About Adele Horton

Since joining the Royal Sun Alliance Group, Liverpool in 1983, I continued along the path of a commercial underwriting career until 2002. During that time I went onto work for Eagle Star, Cardiff and Legal & General in Leeds before finding myself the only female underwriter for Albion Insurance Company, based in Fenchurch St, London. Albion were subsequently bought out by The Sterling Group and as a result I was given the responsibility as an account manager for a large telesales operation selling commercial policies all over the UK. This position lasted 2 years before I decided it was time to move on from the world of insurance. In 2002 my partner & I set up our own limited company - Floreat Services (UK) Ltd and from this went onto create a specialist joinery company - In House Joinery LLP. To this day it continues to go from strength to strength with on-going repeat business and good referral's. Between 2003 to 2004 I worked for a charity: Advocacy in Action who deal with vulnerable adults in the community and it was here that I gained my administrative skills. In 2004 I was approached by Phillipson Kennedy Consulting Ltd and became their Business Development Manager. During mid 2009 I established Small Business Support with the aim to support & assist other individuals and small teams of people with the day to day running of their business and share my knowledge & experiences gained over the years. Specialties: Marketing, financial & general administrative tasks, project management & putting together events. Management of employees & small teams of people. Excellent time management & organisational skills.
