A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Candidate at the University of the West Indies (UWI) enrolled in the Petroleum Engineering Unit. My study focuses on Wellbore Stability and Reservoir Geomechanics in the East Coast Marine Area. It encompasses the generation of 1D Mechanical Earth Models, risk assessments, laboratory rock mechanical testing and 3D Geomechanical Modelling. The intended aim of my research is reducing mechanical instability while drilling weakly cemented formations by acquiring detailed knowledge of the in-situ stresses and rock mechanical properties in an attempt to predict suitable mud weight windows and reduce the associated drilling risks. My skill set also includes but not limited to the field of Petroleum Geosciences.
