About Adeline Souf

With a solid background in geology (engineering degree, France) and in oceanic environment (Master of Sciences, UK), I worked for 5 years in the field of marine energies at EDF Energies Nouvelles in Paris, within the geosciences team to model the grounds and geological risks of the seabed. Subsequently, I joined the AFD (Agence Française du Développement) team for 2 years in Indonesia where I was in charge of the agency's projects relating to the maritime sector. In a few numbers- Characterization of the grounds of 6 offshore wind farm projects in France and the United Kingdom- Management of a project of 1 million euros to restart the fishing activity following the tsunami of Palu, Indonesia, with in particular the redistribution of 650 boats to traditional fishermen and the replanting of mangroves- Support for a project to acquire oceanographic research boats within the framework of AFD and several months of cumulative campaigns at sea on this type of boat during my position at EDF EN- Identification of two projects to reduce plastics at sea either through regulatory changes or by improving knowledge of the routes of plastics in the Indonesian sea, 2nd producer of marine debris worldwide- And many others… Passionate about the ocean, I wish to pursue my professional adventure combining my project management skills, my knowledge of the maritime environment and my values of sustainable development in order to contribute smartly to the management of this environment.
