About Adeoluwa Ojo

I'm a Biology (Neuroscience Concentration) graduate from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, preparing to begin my MS in Biology at the University at Albany in Spring 2026. I recently joined ACT Laboratories as a Laboratory Technician I, where I contribute to high-throughput analytical testing and lab workflows supporting pharmaceutical and environmental sciences. My academic and research background spans molecular neuroscience, neuroprotection, and biomedical data analysis. At the NYS Newborn Screening Program (Wadsworth Center), I supported research on congenital disease markers such as CMV and Duchenne muscular dystrophy. My undergraduate research focused on synaptic transmission and neuroprotective signaling in oxidative stress models. I'm particularly interested in how early cellular disruptions shape systems-level outcomes—bridging neurodevelopment, sensory physiology, and computational neuroscience. I'm currently expanding my skills in data-driven biology and behavioral modeling, with a long-term goal of integrating molecular and systems neuroscience to advance understanding of neurodevelopmental and sensory processing disorders. I'm always eager to connect with others working in neurobiology, systems neuroscience, or translational research—especially across interdisciplinary teams.
