About Adhya Tripathi

Hello! My name is Adhya Tripathi and I am a third-year PharmD Candidate at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy located at the Gainesville campus. Before pharmacy school, I attended the University of South Florida, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. I currently work as a pharmacy intern at Publix Supermarkets, where my interest in pharmacy came to light. Working as a pharmacy technician for almost four years and now as a pharmacy intern has given me the unique opportunity to provide my patients with premier customer service while ensuring they get the best healthcare they can receive. Additionally, my involvement in the College of Pharmacy as Operation Heart Chair for APhA-ASP, Student Ambassador for the College of Pharmacy, and Pharmacy Operations Officer for Equal Access Clinic Network (EACN) has allowed me to build on essential characteristics and skills embodied within a pharmacist such as empathy, being a team player, and interprofessional communication. Recently, I have been involved in research surrounding situational judgment tests, which expose student pharmacists to scenarios they might encounter in practice. This opportunity has allowed me to gain insight into what the field of pharmacy academia entails. These experiences have furthered my passion for this profession while allowing me to advocate for my patients by applying the skills and knowledge I have learned at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. I have future interests in ambulatory care pharmacy and academia and am excited to learn more about the field of pharmacy as I go through my advanced pharmacy practice experiences. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, nature photography, and traveling to places I have never been to. I look forward to connecting with you and finding opportunities that will help me flourish both personally and professionally!
