With over 20 years of experience in trade policy, economic development, and regional cooperation. In my current role as Senior Trade and Investment Advisor at the African Union Commission, I have been directly involved in supporting the design, development, monitoring and implementation of Continental Frameworks, including AU Strategies (Industrial Development, Commodities, SMEs, IPRs, SEZs.etc.) supporting the full implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). I have contributed providing technical support and advice on trade negotiations, developed strategies for regional and continental multi-stakeholder dialogues, and contributed to capacity building programs. Previously, I held leadership positions within the Moroccan government, overseeing trade policy development, trade negotiations, and managing ministerial offices.
