About Aditya Abdi

A recent graduate in Forestry Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology with a dedication to advancing sustainable natural resource management and ecosystem restoration. I am particularly passionate about environmental sustainability through ecological analysis, forest restoration, and the innovative use of technology, especially in managing and rehabilitating wetland ecosystems to mitigate climate change.With a solid background in peatland research, soil science, and GIS applications, I have hands-on experience in field and lab research, including soil sampling on burnt and unburnt peatlands for further hydrological, physical, and chemical analysis. My academic research has focused on soil properties and restoration models for burnt peatlands, with an emphasis on implementing nature-based solutions that ensure long-term ecological health.In addition to technical expertise, I bring strong leadership and organizational skills cultivated through various roles, one of them being Head of the Interests and Sports Division at HMH ‘Selva’ ITB. Leading teams and managing events has allowed me to develop strategic planning, communication, and project management skills—all essential in driving positive environmental impact.As a trilingual communicator (Bahasa Indonesia, English, French), I am eager to connect with professionals dedicated to sustainability and restoration. I aim to contribute my skills in ecological monitoring, GIS, and field research to meaningful projects that support resilient ecosystems and climate adaptation.
