Researcher with a rare track record of publications in fields as diverse as terrorism and counter-terrorism, climate finance, corporate finance, maritime security, foreign policy, and industrial organization. Professional experience encompasses information technology, commercial banking, academic and policy research, and as a university professor. Also a self-taught investor with experience constructing and managing portfolios including direct equity, mutual funds (debt, equity and hybrid), and exchange-traded funds. Traded profitably in equity as well as in equity derivatives (futures and options). Adheres to strict risk management criteria (also self-developed) including sectoral caps as well as staggered entry and exit. Have grown investment portfolio at an annual internal rate of return of 21.9% over the last five years, and at 20.1% since inception in 2016 (as of 16 December, 2023).
