About Aditya K.

Having perceived Mechanical Engineering and MBA as chalk and cheese, experience of boosting customer relationship in project management, business development, and interactions with seasoned professionals changed my perception. Emphasising on business skills, the CEO from my past company often said, “Doesn’t matter how good the product is, if you aren’t skilled enough to sell it or convey the information then you are out of the competition”. Influenced by his words I saw the need of upskilling myself by developing business acumen apart from technical expertise. As a Mechanical Engineer, I started from scratch by operating machines, this set me up a foundation for my future roles as I incorporated a pragmatic approach. Early in my career, I was identified to lead a project that contributed to a 20% growth in revenue and was paramount for the customer. It was an opportunity rewarded for my excellent interpersonal skills, strong memory skills and due to unforeseen circumstances. I am versatile, and I have worked/managed projects as demanded and embraced challenges that came at short notice. I achieved success in projects with a blend of independent and collaborative working. My hunger for MBA increased while working on the quotations, other commercial aspects of projects, and upon contributing to management review meetings. During this period, I was instrumental in lead conversions. My distinctive capability of going the extra mile was recognised by the senior management and customers. Timely promotions to roles that required high technical knowledge and customer interaction are testimony to my fast-learning capability.I was delighted that my MBA course was more of reflective learning as I contemplated on my past work experience to perform the tasks efficiently and consulted businesses in achieving their goals, this includes the role as a project consultant wherein through my experience and taking into account of industry’s best practices, I recommended feasible and realistic improvements for company’s enterprise systems besides solving other issues. Whilst on the course, I thrived as a team player in diverse teams, developed market research and judgmental skills. Outside my professional career, sports keep me going and recently I have been doing long distance cycling; as they say,” UK is best explored on the bike”. I endeavor to live the life on the sports ethics and values.
