About Aditya Roy

I am a dedicated academic and editorial professional with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, research mentorship, and scholarly publishing. With experience in higher education and currently serving as an Acquisitions Editor at JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments), I specialize in bridging the gap between researchers and visual science communication. At JoVE, I lead initiatives to develop and manage Special Collections in engineering and applied sciences. I regularly engage with leading scientists and institutions worldwide to curate relevant themes, coordinate peer-reviewed content, and guide authors through the publication process. My role also involves scientific outreach, editorial strategy, author onboarding, and managing a team of assistant editors to ensure smooth communication and quality submissions. Previously, I worked as an Assistant Professor at Shri Venkateshwara University, where I contributed to teaching, student mentorship, and departmental activities. I also taught and conducted research for over four years at NIT Silchar, where I was actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate instruction, lab supervision, and interdisciplinary research, contributing to peer-reviewed publications and academic events. I am particularly passionate about scientific editing, making science more accessible through innovative formats, and supporting researchers in publishing high-impact work.
