About Aditya Sathe

I have experience in developing and maintaining web applications across various business sectors, including banking and financial services, health insurance, travel and tourism, FMCG, NGOs, and electronics. My technical expertise encompasses the full software development lifecycle, from API development to deployment optimization. I developed REST APIs for new features and enhancements and managed maintenance tasks for web applications across 11 different businesses using Java Spring Boot and Python Django. PySpark on AWS Glue: Implemented scripts for loading data from Oracle DB to AWS OpenSearch, using S3 for cost-efficient intermediate storage. AWS Lambda, SQS, and SES. Developed a notification mechanism based on the publish–subscribe pattern to inform different management levels about data loading status. Product Development and API Integration In addition to client services, I contributed to developing APIs using Django Rest Framework (DRF) for organization's internal web application product. This included development of APIs for encrypting and saving sensitive data. A generic API for saving JSON data on multiple storage platforms, including AWS S3. Used Docker, AWS ECR, and GitHub Actions to implement a streamlined deployment process. AWS EC2 Migration: Supported migrating projects from on-premise Linux servers to AWS EC2 instances. Database Migration: Transitioned a Django web application from Oracle DB to PostgreSQL DB. Elastic Search Upgrade: Upgraded outdated instances to LTS AWS OpenSearch, consolidating multiple old instances into a common reserved instance, reducing yearly costs by 37.5%. TLS Encryption: Implemented TLS encryption for API and messaging queue endpoints for a banking and financial services client, and managed annual TLS certificate renewals across 10 other clients. Agile Methodology and Cross-functional Work: I also worked on bi-yearly feature enhancements and change requests for a Django web application serving a health insurance client, adhering to Agile SDLC methodology. Additionally, I occasionally resolved bugs in React JS code to support ongoing projects. My work has consistently focused on improving system performance, optimizing costs, and ensuring robust and scalable solutions across various platforms.
