Dr. Adly Sabbour is a globally recognized authority in physical therapy, celebrated for his transformative leadership, innovative educational initiatives, and unwavering commitment to advancing patient care. Acting Dean of School of physical therapy Coventry University Cairo branch the knowledge hubs universities 2025 As the former Dean of the Physical Therapy School at Badr University in Cairo (BUC) from 2014 to 2025, Dr. Sabbour elevated the institution to new heights, securing its accreditation in 2022 and establishing it as a regional hub for excellence in physical therapy education. With over two decades as a Professor of Physical Therapy at Cairo University, where he served as Head of the Department from 2008 to 2011, Dr. Sabbour has left an indelible mark on academia, clinical practicequality assurance in higher education. Dr. Sabbour is a leading expert in quality assurance and accreditation, having spearheaded the accreditation of the Faculty of Physical Therapy at Cairo University in 2013 and Badr University in 2022. His strategic vision has shaped national education policy through his roles in the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Project (QAAP), the Continuous Improvement of Quality Assurance and Accreditation Project (CIQAP), and the Egyptian Technical College Project (ETCP). As a consultant to Egypt’s Ministry of Higher Education and a member of the Supreme Council of Universities’ physical therapy sector planning committee, On the international stage, Dr. Sabbour has forged pioneering academic and research collaborations.Since 2017, he has led a landmark partnership between Badr University and Winston-Salem State University (USA), creating the Middle East’s most successful joint program for manual therapy certification, staff exchanges, and professional skill development. His collaborations with Virginia Commonwealth University (USA) since 2016 have advanced neurological rehabilitation research and supported the development of a state-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital in Capital Med City, Badr. In 2023, Dr. Sabbour made history by establishing the Egyptian-Chinese academic partnership in physical therapy with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, introducing a professional diploma in acupuncture Dr. Sabbour’s dedication to professional development is reflected in his extensive participation in global conferences, musculoskeletal in countries including Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Sudan, and has been a featured speaker at WFH congresses in Germany, Canada, Turkey, Italy, UAE, Argentina, Colombia, France
