I am a recent graduate from Boston University with a bachelors in mechanical engineering. I previously worked part-time as the product designer, manufacturer and machinist for Eleven58, a startup company focused on helping to recycle trash automatically. I spearheaded the design for 6 different models, 2 of which were successfully manufactured into prototypes. As the primary design engineer at Bay State Energy, I played a key role in developing innovative energy solutions by creating elementary models for a thermoelectric nuclear reactor. I contributed to the design and prototyping of energy-efficient systems, applying my mechanical engineering expertise to optimize performance. My work involved utilizing CAD software, prototyping techniques, and engineering analysis to refine product designs. Additionally, I used software like MOOSE and COMSOL to simulate heat transfer across thermoelectric modules. I was also affiliated with the BU Mars Rover Club, specifically the mechanical team with duties that consisted of designing, manufacturing, and assembling the chassis. The rover design required me to use FEA to identify weak areas and modify them for less concentrated stresses. During my time on the team, I was able to learn how to operate CNC Mills, Lathes, Drill Presses and Miter Saws. I was also previously affiliated with the BU Baja SAE Club. This club was focused on building a Go-Kart from scratch. During my time here the main priority of the brakes, steering, and suspension team was to communicate with other team members, specific BOM structure and information dealing with brakes, suspension, and or steering. After completing the design, the whole team started machining and assembling kart. The main parts I machined were for the kart's chassis in which I learned how to use, saws to cut metal tubes, a tube hydraulic metal-bender, surface sanders for welding prep, and welding tools for frame connections.
