Powerful artwork commands attention and defines spaces. I am a fine artist known for my ability to achieve both. My artistic journey has felt nothing short of extraordinary, riding a wave throughout my career of both business and art. My paintings have been exhibited in galleries around the world, and I’ve had the privilege of exhibiting in The Hamptons, New York, and Australian National Galleries. Working alongside luminaries such as Michael Jackson's publicist Susan Blond, a favourite of Andy Warhol's, and featuring in various media including newspapers, magazines and National TV programmes such as Channel 9’s The Block, have all been exciting avenues to expand my artistic horizons. I’ve been recognized through prestigious awards and accolades, making me a finalist in Australia's major national portrait prizes – The Lester Prize for Portraiture and The Shirley Hannan National Portrait Prize. Celebrating my art in ways that stand the test of time and resonates with art enthusiasts worldwide. I describe my art as having a dominant presence that captivates and completes any space it graces. Each piece is a striking yet simple combination of classical portraiture and contemporary fashion, usually with a signature empty background that allows the main subject to almost leap off the canvas. I use a mixture of small and large brushes and a freehand approach to imbue my work with expression and character, making each painting a skilfully unique and authentic work of art. My mission is to inspire wonder, and transform spaces. I believe that a standout painting can be the missing item in any beautifully styled room, enhancing the ambiance and leaving an unforgettable impression on all who encounter it. I want my client’s friends to wish they could pull it off the wall and take it home! Working on private commissions is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. The key words for me are ‘personal’ and ‘timeless’. In collaborating closely with clients, I aim to infuse their individual style and personality into each commissioned artwork. By understanding the client's space, preferences, and sentimental inspirations, and combining them with my personal artistic aesthetic, I create personalised pieces that become cherished heirlooms and timeless works of art.
