About Adria Finch

Adria Finch founded and manages Change Mechanics, an Innovation Consulting Company, where she works with local governments and other organizations to improve the lives of people. She utilizes analysis, design, project planning, and partnerships to drive change across communities. Adria also works to create systemic culture change within organizations. Rather than acting as a typical consultant who hands off recommendations, Adria uses co-design and training methodologies that embed innovation practices within an organization, and leaves clients with their own "innovation toolkits" that they can leverage as they move forward. Adria previously served as the Chief Innovation Officer with the City of Syracuse, where she led a local government team that created and implemented a series of comprehensive policies and programs to support the Mayoral priorities. She collaborated with a variety of stakeholders to ensure that programmatic and operational initiatives were successfully launched and achieved measurable results. As part of the Bloomberg Philanthropies i-team network Adria's addressed specific mayoral priorities including municipal infrastructure, housing, and permitting. She has a background in science and business, and has also worked in economic development.
