About Adrian Andersen

Everyone has been watching their favorite game, or tv show only to find themselves distracted by poor editing or audio. Maybe the playback is glitchy. Or there’s a lag in the teleprompter speed and it’s clear that the broadcaster is trying to keep up. The game should be dramatic, not frustrating and distracting from the experience. As a production assistant who has most recently worked in sports media, I know I have the capacity to influence the storyline and viewing experience of fans everywhere. WHO I AM: At ROOTS SPORTS since 2022, I’ve been able to assist, and learn from, a team of dynamic and experienced producers and technicians. I’ve gained hands-on experience when it comes to program development, script delivery, prompter support, audio, and post-production editing. Currently, I’m working as a freelancer, supporting the production of Seattle Mariners and Kraken hockey games and accountable for delivering work that aligns with the producer’s creative and editorial direction. I love being able to bring my passion for sports and broadcast production work to provide great content for MLB and NHL fans. WHAT’S NEXT FOR ME: Currently, I’m looking to secure a full-time position In production with a focus on editing. I spent the last year building my editing capability and preparing onset and post-production content for broadcasts. I love working behind the scenes of a production set. WHAT I’M TARGETING: I’m open to media, agency, or studio work and I’m interested in growing my capability whether it continues to be in the broadcast sector or supporting a corporate Organization. I love working in photography, video, and music mediums and I want to work on projects that are entertaining and look and sound spectacular. MY SPECIAL GIFTS: Joining the professional space at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, I got to demonstrate my flexibility, my ability to persevere, and the opportunity to learn and develop new skills under unprecedented circumstances. I’ve been told that my gifts are my ability to work effectively as a team member, emanate positive energy, and my commitment to creating quality images and audio edits while building my knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite. I have a bachelor's degree in Broadcasting from Gonzaga. Post-graduation, I secured internships to develop my business and media production and application skills. In each, I built capability and understanding of the agency and broadcast network environments. Outside of work, you can find me watching soccer games from around the world and building on my Spotify playlists.
