27+ years of investment experience in emerging markets infrastructure as principal investor and project finance in energy, power distribution, renewables, transportation, telecommunications - Digital Infrastructure, water and circular economy. Experience includes 5 years consulting in infrastructure regulatory frameworks, 9 years of private equity and 18 years in development financing in equity and mezzanine products. Adrian is the Global Head of Equity - Infrastructure at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. Part of responsibilities includes leading the execution for equity and mezzanine investment opportunities for the infrastructure department in energy, telecommunications and digital infrastructure, transportation, water and environmental infrastructure sectors. Responsibilities includes chairing investment committees (IC) for execution and asset management of $2B in equity and mezzanine business in those sectors, which includes more than 120 positions in 25+ countries. Yearly deployment is c $400+ millions. Adrian is also part of the IC of IFC's Venture and Disruptive Technologies on the infrastructure sector. Adrian also interacts on regular basis with co-investors and shareholders and investee management teams, discussing strategic priorities, growth plans and exits. Adrian also is responsible for the selection and nomination of IFC's nominee directors on investee's boards. Prior to IFC Adrian worked 9 years in an emerging markets infrastructure PE fund focusing in Latin America.
