I love to solve interesting problems with code.With over ten years experience developing on the web, I am proud to have the opportunity to create web platforms and tools that are used by millions of Canadians, with a strong focus on performance and scalability. I use modern toolstacks to develop applications for publishing and consuming streaming media.In my current role, I work heavily with emerging audio/video web standards and media APIs in the browser. In general, I am passionate about modern Javascript development, and driven to explore new frameworks and libraries. I pride myself on high-quality, readable code, and I strive to help my team members do the same. I am an advocate for test-driven development, well-maintained documentation, and automated tools that help the team work efficiently. I am a strong communicator, working with business and non-technical teams to gather requirements and make trusted engineering decisions.
