About Adrian Chichita

I have over 30 years of experience in the retail banking industry, with a specialization in the card and electronic payments sector for the last 26 years. Throughout my career, I have played a key role in coordinating the establishment and development of card, ATM, and POS businesses in various banks. Between 1996 and I was involved in the building of the card, ATM, and POS business at Banca Agricola. From to 2005, I continued this work at Piraeus Bank, and since 2005, I joined OTP Bank, where I have been instrumental in the growth and success of the bank's card payments business. I am proud to have been a pioneer in the electronic payments field in Romania, and my passion for this industry has remained strong. Throughout my career, I have always considered myself an explorer and a enabler. I have constantly sought out and adopted the latest technologies in payments field, ensuring that I stay at the forefront of the industry. This drive to innovate and embrace new advancements has been a key factor in the results I have achieved. As a people manager, for over 20 years, I have learned the importance of developing individuals within my team. I firmly believe that businesses are built by people, and therefore, creating an environment of effective teamwork has always been a priority. Using trust, communication, positivism and patience, as my main soft skills, I have been able to foster a collaborative and successful work environment. I take great pride in the accomplishments I have made thus far. The successful establishment and coordination of cards & payments businesses in multiple banks demonstrate my ability to build and grow these sectors and fuels my commitment to pushing boundaries and driving progress. My passion for this industry has been unwavering, and I am excited to continue exploring and building upon my expertise in the card payments sector.
