I am an Associate Director at Carcell Biopharma, a biotech start-up focused on developing innovative therapies for autoimmune diseases and cancer. I have a PhD in Immunology from the National University of Singapore and 9 years of experience in healthcare R&D across different sectors and geographies. In my current role, I lead the immunology group at the Singapore site and the tissue bank, overseeing dual portfolios of preclinical research. I have established multiple platforms to enable in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo studies for target engagement, treatment efficacy, dose translation, pharmacokinetics, and safety assessment. I have also mentored and guided two junior team members, setting and tracking project progress metrics to ensure timely delivery of research targets. Additionally, I have coordinated technology transfers to international partners from R&D, clinical research offices, and regional business partners, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with regulatory standards. My core competencies include stakeholder engagement, project management, problem-solving, and innovation. I have successfully managed a translational project on Epstein-Barr Virus-associated tumorogenesis, bridging academia and industry involving multiple stakeholders. I have also streamlined project execution by proactively identifying and addressing critical issues, establishing essential protocols and platforms, and enhancing partnership performance. Furthermore, I have secured investments and grants for various research projects, demonstrating my ability to identify innovative solutions and communicate their value proposition effectively. I am passionate about contributing to healthcare research and transformation, and I seek to leverage my expertise and skills to advance the development of novel and effective therapeutics for unmet medical needs.
