About Adrian Dalmau

Currently enrolled in my junior year at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Pursuing a degree in Managerial Economics with the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS Degree). I originally started my college career enrolled in the University of Massachusetts Lowell where I was an environmental science Major. I quickly learned that my passions for business and economics heavily outweighed that of Environmental science, prompting my move to UMass as a managerial Economics Major in my sophomore year. With my past experience in my coursework as well as my jobs and internship experience, I have gained valuable skill sets. In my previous tenure as a "Coaching Coordinator" for the National youth soccer coaching franchise: Soccer Shots in North Andover, MA. I was tasked with managing new hires. I took steak in the coordination, management, financial analysis, and training of new hires for the corporation. Currently, I work part-time for my University in conjunction with my full-time education. I work for the Disability Center of UMass as a Classroom Access Assistant. I am responsible for providing accommodation support to students with disabilities. Such accommodations vary from helping physically disabled individuals with mobilization support around the campus to simply note-taking for their coursework. As well, my background in retail and customer service-based jobs in high school, has allowed me to gain strong problem-solving and intrapersonal skill sets Because I am passionate about Economics, markets, entrepreneurship, and critical analysis; I am also enrolled in Real Estate School (part-time, virtually) with ABC Real Estate in Haverhill, Massachusetts. As well, in my free time, I attend Venture Cafe in Cambridge, MA. A collective of innovators networking and pitching their ideas to venture capitalists eager to turn a enhance the daily lives of people around the world through technology innovation. When I am not working or studying, I feed my curiosity and passion for self-improvement by exercising in the gym, playing soccer, tracking my runs on Strava, spending time with my family and friends, or learning a new hobby such as pottery. As well, I love to travel, I have been to a fair few countries in Europe as well as around North America. My three dream places to visit in my life are Mongolia, Zimbabwe, and Argentina (Patagonia). Exploring the world and engaging/learning about different cultures around the world is most definitely one of my strongest passions.
