I am currently a Technical Lead and Manager in the reporting and analytics department at Davies Group.I manage a team of Reporting Analysts, and I am responsible for overseeing the development and improvement of Data Visualisation, Business Intelligence and Reporting to Clients and Stakeholders, together with the production and reconciling of monthly financial bordereaux.I am responsible for process improvement and automation wherever possible, and also for ensuring the quality of work is accurate and consistent across the team. I am also personally responsible for some of the more complex reporting and some of the more high-profile client accounts.I have consultancy experience and regularly work with key clients to understand their data and reporting requirements and present the best solution options based on the resources available. I am also used to manipulating and presenting large amounts of data in easy-to-understand and relevant formats as required.I have extensive expertise using many different reporting systems and tools including QlikView, Qlik Sense and NPrinting, along with Power BI and SAP Business Objects. I also have some experience using Tableau as well as a bit of Python.In addition to crafting reports, I work with the database administration team by implementing modifications in various data models and the ETL processes. This also involves the creation, execution, and optimisation of SQL and loading scripts, as well as queries necessary for populating data into the reporting software and testing in a staging environment.I have been involved in several large projects, including the migration of several million claims and over MI Reports from another company into Davies, and also the migration of data warehouse, data models, and the reporting and file systems from locally hosted servers to an Azure Cloud-based solution.I have advanced knowledge of Excel and Visual Basic, and I am very adept at creating macros and basic programs to automate pretty much any function required. If any part of a regular report is not able to be fully automated and requires manual intervention or input, I will look to automate it and make it as efficient as possible. I have strong customer service and relationship skills, and I am good at negotiation and problem-solving, which can be applied to any role. I am enthusiastic and passionate, and I can apply myself to any circumstances presented to me.
