About Adrian Lim

Adrian brings over 20 years of global banking and consulting experience in the field of Retail banking, corporate strategy, transformation and project management; gained across Europe, Middle East & Asia. His leadership style through a collaborative and tactful approach across stakeholders with differing cultures, coupled with his passion to deliver, drives him in becoming a positive change agent within a dynamic organization. Adrian is with McKinsey & Company, rejoining the firm as a Practice Manager and has relocated to Berlin in 2022. He was formerly the Global Head of Customer Performance, Policy and Complaint Management for HSBC in a global role from London, encompassing 30+ countries. He is also at present, a Non Executive Director for Astral Asset Management in Singapore and continues to volunteer his time amongst charity and social groups. Prior to London, Adrian was with First Abu Dhabi bank, looking at retail customer propositions for 5 years and Emirates NBD bank in Dubai, where he'd spent 3 years at Group Strategy working on strategic projects. Overall, he’s had 8 years experience with the two biggest banks in the Middle East. Before heading to the Middle East, Adrian was with McKinsey for 6 years in Singapore; working on banking projects across Asia Pacific; namely Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. He was a core research member of McKinsey's Financial Industry Group where he led the personal financial services revenue pool analysis and contributed papers on banking in Southeast Asia. Adrian started his career as an Economics lecturer and an Economist prior to joining McKinsey. He holds a MBA and a degree in Economics along with certificates in strategy from INSEAD and recently completed his Executive Leadership program with Oxford University and a leadership program with London Business School. An exploratory mind with a sense of adventure, Adrian is passionate in his travels and particularly enjoy the differing cultures, people and sights each location brings. He’s mixing this with his favourite sport, tennis, of which he continues to dream of playing like his idol ‘RF’!
