About Adrian Lorion

As a modelling and simulation technical expert, I apply operations research techniques to develop, calibrate and optimize transportation network models to assess the projected impacts of proposed large-scale planning schemes and associated infrastructure improvements. My current and past projects include developments in the Toronto Port Lands, Humber Bay Shores area and development areas within Durham Region. Through these projects, I have developed technical skills in vehicle, pedestrian and public transit modelling, model calibration, signal timing coordination and optimization, and transportation-related data analysis. I also oversee the training and development of about 10 university co-op students each year, taking them through basic and advanced modelling and simulation concepts allowing them to be both productive and valued contributors to project teams.
