About Adrian Lowe

I am an accomplished and results-driven academic leader and manager with a wealth of experience. Recognized for exceptional communication skills and a versatile skill set, I presently lead the Social Work and Animal Science Portfolios at Ara / Te Pūkenga. Additionally, I am responsible for spearheading Academic Operations within my department, overseeing a team of over 50 colleagues and serving more than 800 learners. I am proficient in managing teams of varying sizes, ranging from four to 20 members, across in-person and remote settings. My decision-making is guided by a strategic perspective, ensuring a clear and logical approach to problem-solving while facilitating the success of my teams. I have a strong track record of collaboration on diverse projects at both local and national levels, fostering partnerships with learners, whānau, subject matter experts, Department Heads, Deputy Chief Executives (DCEs), Chief Executives (CEs), School Principals, and industry leaders in academia, social services, and animal science sectors.
