About Adrian Oldfield

Experienced professional with a diverse career journey, now operating in the field of commercial and large domestic loss adjusting, working mainly, although not exclusively, for the policy holder. After leaving high school, I furthered my qualifications at college, whilst also earning a diploma in Business Management. I then dedicated over 35 years’ to successfully managing Tollgate Hotel & Leisure Ltd, the family hotel and health & fitness business. From its early days in 1979 as a squash club to becoming a fully-fledged hospitality destination, it was a fulfilling journey. However, more recent challenges like COVID, along with spiralling overheads, led us to sell in May 2021 after 41 years of successful, happy trading. It was during this period of transition that I mandated Hilton Thompson Chartered Loss Adjusters for our business interruption insurance claim. Having dedicated four years’ work on the claim and, in tandem with my extensive career history, Hilton Thompson saw potential in me beyond my previous roles. Recognising my ability to navigate challenging situations and my commitment to delivering results, they offered me a position within their team. I've been able to leverage my skills and expertise in a new context whilst continuing to grow and develop professionally. Working alongside a team of experienced professionals, I've found a supportive environment where my contributions are valued, and I'm excited about the opportunities that lie ahead in this new chapter of my career.
