Strategic Planning & Execution • Develop and implement the overall Procurement Execution Strategy for assigned CAPEX projects, aligning with the project master plan, business objectives, and global category strategies. • Lead the entire end-to-end commercial process, including sourcing, bidding, contract negotiation, contract management, and contract close-out. • Proactively manage the Procurement Master Plan (PMP), monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring timely reporting and effective risk mitigation (supply chain disruption, cost overruns). Sourcing & Contract Management • Lead the sourcing and procurement of complex equipment and services required for biotech facilities, including projects with values ranging from $5 million up to $500 million+. • Equipment: Process equipment (e.g, bioreactors, centrifuges), utilities (e.g, AHUs, WFI systems, clean steam generators), lab equipment, automation systems, and critical spare parts. • Services: Construction (Civil, Structural, Architectural), specialized engineering and design (EPCM/EPC firms), piping, HVAC, electrical, and cleanroom fit-out services. • Conduct complex commercial negotiations with major suppliers and contractors to secure optimal terms, pricing, and contracting models (G-max, lump-sum, cost-plus). • Draft, review, and manage contracts, purchase orders, and change orders in close collaboration with Legal and Project Management teams. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration • Serve as the primary point of contact for all procurement-related matters within the project team and actively manage relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders. • Collaborate closely with Project Directors/Managers, Engineering, R&D, Quality Assurance (QA), Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), and Finance to ensure alignment on specifications, timelines, and budgets. • Manage relationships with external collaborators, including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) partners, main equipment vendors, and construction subcontractors.
