When a newcomer walks into my office for the first time, I know they’re carrying more than a resume, they’re carrying hopes, fears, and the weight of starting over. I’m Adriana, an Employment Assessor & Facilitator at Bridges Niagara – Immigrant & Refugee Services, specializing in career development, job search coaching, and employment support for immigrants and refugees. My mission is to help individuals transform uncertainty into opportunity. With a background in Psychology, I understand that finding work isn’t just about matching skills to job postings, it’s about building confidence, navigating cultural differences, and creating a sense of belonging. I work with clients from diverse backgrounds and varying English levels, including CLB 0–3, to: Conduct comprehensive employment assessments to identify skills, experience, and goals Create ATS-friendly resumes and cover letters that capture employer attention Connect clients with local employment programs, community resources, and networking opportunities Facilitate interactive workshops on Canadian workplace culture, job search strategies, and career transitions Every success story, whether it’s securing a first part-time job or returning to a professional career, reaffirms why I do this work.
