About Adrianne Goron

I am a graphic designer and sign writer at my family’s business, where we specialise in large format signage, vehicle graphics, and printed branding materials. I create logos, brands, mock-ups, and more using a range of digital software, as well as producing and installing custom cut stickers and signs. I do a variety of admin tasks in the office, as well as maintaining the business’ social media. I have a first class BA (Hons) in Popular Music Journalism, where my main focus was in designing magazines for print. The fantastic course gave me a huge breadth of skills including writing for a variety of purposes, interviewing, photography and videography, making podcasts, analytical skills, and working on large team projects. I am a self taught artist with a love of acrylic paintings and graphite pencil drawings. Whilst I have explored many styles and subjects, I have found my favourites in still life and statues. I love to work in realism, recreating shapes and colours in the deepest level of detail I possibly can. I enjoy the challenge of a difficult image, and lose myself in its creation. I have been volunteering weekly with the Scouts for over 10 years, and have been lucky enough to make great friends, explore amazing places, and try adventurous activities through the organisation. I gained a huge amount as a child from my time in Scouts - from physical skills and experiences to confidence and knowledge; I love having the opportunity to be a part of that for other young people now. In 2023 I attended the World Scout Jamboree in Korea for three weeks as part of a unit from Surrey. I had to apply and be selected for the team of four adults taking 36 young people on the trip of a lifetime, and we spent two years preparing. Things were very different when we got there, as harsh weather conditions, poor sanitation, safeguarding and shelter issues were only some of the reasons groups were evacuated from the site. It was the most challenging experience of my life helping to keep everyone safe. I gained so much in terms of resilience, strength, and belief in my abilities under pressure from this trip. I’m proud of what we achieved in taking a very challenging situation and making positive memories for the young people in our group. In my spare time I love hiking and being outside, photography, swimming, art, and live music.
