About Adriel Vela

I have a certificate in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician from Santa Ana College, and I completed the Firefighter I and II/ Wildland Basic program at San Pasqual Reservation Fire Academy. I am currently a firefighter at Disneyland Resort, where I provide fire watch, prevent fire damage, and respond to alarms. I am also a lifeguard at Lifeguardhelp and a BLS and Hospital Fire Safety Instructor at SureFire CPR. I have multiple certifications in advanced life support, pediatric life support, and basic life support for healthcare providers. In my roles, I oversee activities at private residences or aquatic facilities, explain and enforce rules and policies, monitor designated areas, warn swimmers, maintain order, respond to emergencies, rescue swimmers, perform first aid, and maintain cleanliness and records. I also train and teach proper use of fire equipment and protective systems, patient rescue, different types of fires and how to control them, evacuation, pre-fire planning, and home fire safety. I meticulously instruct lectures, discuss and demonstrate life-saving skills using proper technique and medical devices. I interact with all healthcare providers, youth, and adults, and assist them in maintaining their life-saving skills and certifications. I am passionate about saving lives and preventing fires, and I value safety, teamwork, and professionalism. I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I am fluent in Spanish and have worked with different populations and settings.
