About Adrien Birbaumer

As a child I wanted to be an inventor. I grew up as a person passionate about software development and new technologies. Through my studies and my previous work experiences I built a very deep knowledge of Image and Signal Processing. As an engineer I am both at ease with highly theoretical technical aspects as with the practical applications and the real-life challenges thanks to my extensive experience with resource m!anagement. Highly capable of working with minimal supervision I am also an eager team player. Some notable achievements- Implementation of the CPCM (Content Protection and Copy Management) protocol for digital rights management in the home network. Specific implementation of the authorized domain control functionalities and associated rights on embedded platforms (set-top boxes). Various related projects with a major worldwide security provider- Development and enhancement of a novel method for person singularization in rotating doors for a major european door manufacturer, using a combination of sensor technologies. Participation in the intellectual property management and patent writing- Project management and development for numerous high-end video surveillance applications with advanced image processing algorithm development and a high focus on real- time processing and data security- Research and development project management and technical expertise with two major swiss universities for a CTI project (Commission for Technology and Innovation) using multiple 3D sensors and 3D scene reconstruction.
