About Adrienne Laygan

As humans we have an innate fire that drives us to seek purpose and achieve the goals that we set for ourselves. For me, my drive stems from my passion to serve others and make a difference in the world. Since 2018, I have been been making a difference in my classroom each day. Through my valuable academic and professional experience, I have become equipped with the skills and knowledge that are vital to creating a positive, engaging, and successful learning environment. As an elementary school teacher, I have developed the ability to effectively communicate with and deliver purposeful lessons for a diverse group of learners. In addition, my primary goal is to create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment. Therefore, I emphasize building and nurturing meaningful relationships between my students and I. My deepest wish is for my students to develop a desire to learn through their meaningful and authentic experiences in my classroom. The dedication and passion that I have poured into my work led me to winning Teacher of the Year in 2023, an accomplishment that reflects the impact an educator can bring into another's life. Despite this achievement, I am still seeking ongoing professional development and growth. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in School Counseling through Texas A&M International University. My hope is to build upon my knowledge and serve young minds beyond the classroom.
