About Adrienne Petta

Adrienne Petta is a person in recovery who has devoted most of her time to working with the community and various organizations within. Before moving to Mercer County with her husband and children, she founded and facilitated her own not-for-profit organization, assisting needy families in the Middlesex County area for over four years. She now spends most of her days working with the public on the prevention, outreach and education of the dangers and stigmas of substance use. Her passion lies in working with pregnant women who have Opioid Use Disorder, as well as those who have state funded insurance and are seeking treatment for Opioid Use Disorder, as well as the reentry population. Adrienne remains a promoter and advocate for MOUD (Medication for Opioid Use Disorder). Adrienne has been contracted over the years to speak at various conferences throughout the State of New Jersey while also having part of her addiction/recovery story brought before the US House of Representatives. She is employed by Mercer Council on Alcoholism and Drug Addiction as a National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (NCPRSS) for OORP of Mercer County (Opioid Overdose Recovery Program) in 2017 and in 2021, added Assistant Navigator to her roles at Mercer Council while still working as an NCPRSS. She is also the Chairperson and Voting Member of HAASA (Hamilton Alliance Against Substance Abuse). Although a Camden County/Gloucester County girl born and raised, Adrienne now calls Hamilton NJ her home, residing with her husband Larry and 3 children, Ceceilia Marie, Adeline Marie and Salvatore Benecio.
