About Adrienne Reynolds
I am a visual artist with a studio practice in drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture installation. In my current role with OCAD U, as Educational Developer, Teaching Support and Multilingual Pedagogy, I am building on experience both in the classroom, as an artist and instructor, and previous work developing resources and curriculum for faculty to help support ELL students in the art & design setting. I have an MFA (studio) from Parsons, The New School, 2008; an AOCA diploma from Ontario College of Art (now OCAD U) 1991; a TESOL certificate from New School, 2015; and an OCELT/ICTEAL certificate from TESL Ontario, 2024. As part-time Assistant Professor at Parsons the New School for Design (since 2008) I have been teaching in the First Year program, classes including Integrative Studio 1 & 2 and Sustainable Systems. Some sections have been designated as language support, providing sheltered learning for ELLs. I have taught additional art & design classes in sophomore year, pre-college, foundation and bridging programs.
