About Adrienne Smith

After much self-reflection, I have come to realize three things: 1. My superpower is getting things done. Give me an idea or task, I’ll figure out how to make it work in the real world, and I’ll see it through A-Z. My purpose in life is to be helpful and useful. I genuinely want to be of service to others, to help achieve the end goal. I believe in servant leadership. A former boss once told me I was conscientious to a fault. Conscientiousness is a GREAT personality trait, and I’m going to own it! So what does that mean? I have worked on some fun marketing campaigns, managed a few big brands, and driven year-over-year growth in slowing or declining segments. But to be honest, it’s not the creative stuff that gets me excited. I’m much more interested and MUCH stronger at defining the opportunity, planning the process, bringing stakeholders together to drive collaboration, executing well, and looking for ways to do it better the next time. What I am looking for: A role that leverages my solid project management skills through these two avenues – • Chief of Staff: I want to be the right arm for a Senior Executive, helping to lead special projects, deal and solve issues in the background, and to be a trusted advisor. I want to enable better and faster decision-making. • Strategic Planning: I want to manage the strategic planning process to ensure that all plans ladder up to corporate objectives, that cross-functional teams are working effectively together, and that key projects are implemented on time and on budget. What I bring to the table: I am a doer. I am organized, detail-oriented, and rely on fact-based decision making to turn an idea to reality. I build strong relationships through clear & honest communication, and high accountability. I hold my and my team’s work to a high standard, and believe in continuous improvement. I also bring a high level of emotional intelligence, and can be trusted with highly confidential information. I have a strong work ethic, am very loyal and reliable, and am committed to getting the job done. I’ve been lucky enough to work in a mix of industries such as beverage alcohol, as well as interior design, office products, bath & beauty products, retail and label printing. So I am flexible and adaptable.
