About Adrienne Wright

I am an individual with a wealth of knowledge and experience of working within the health and social care sector, I am dedicated to the sector and passionate about delivering an excellent service. My specialist knowledge is around domiciliary care, dementia care and person centred skills. I have received excellent feedback on my ability to inspire, motivate and enthuse learners, both from people that have employed my services to deliver learning and the learners. I am a professional, reliable and dedicated individual, who enjoys working within a team: I am also able to work alone and can self motivate. I have a wealth of knowledge and skills around dementia, I was one of the first people to use dementia care mapping in supported living (DCM-SL) for Bradford Dementia Group, based at Bradford University. I was involved in their pilot project with Lincolnshire County Council; the project involved ascertaining whether it was acceptable to use the DCM tool within a person's own home - we found we could and I spent many hours mapping and observing care workers with people with dementia in their own homes, this was a valuable experience in gaining further knowledge on dementia and the importance of communication, interaction and person centred care with people with dementia I have also had experience in many settings, schools, nurseries, residential care, nursing care and leonard cheshire homes.
