About Afiya Khan

I am a detail oriented individual with research experience in synthesis of chemical compounds and experience in qualitative and quantitative analytical methods. I have good theoretical and practical knowledge of biotechnological experiments including and not limited to culturing of microbes, preparation of media for microbial growth, streaking and sterilization techniques and staining procedures. Techniques in biotechnology I have become acquainted with are LAF, Vortex, Column and ion exchange chromatography, balance, centrifuge, autoclave, micro-pipetting, PCR, colorimeter, compound and optical microscope. I have also carried out Antigen-Antibody agglutination reaction, Differential counting of WBC and have knowledge of WIDAL and VDRL tests. I am also versed with the knowledge of Plant Biotechnology including Callus culture, embryo culture, organogenesis and preparation of synthetic seeds. Seeking an opportunity to utilize and further enhance knowledge in a professional setting.
