About Afonso Lisboa

I’m a graduate in the MSc of Environmental Engineering, more specifically a masters of Environmental systems engineering and management. While coursing my master’s program, I have had the opportunity to be employed in several different areas. I worked with a local government department, as a nature tour guide, and also as a summer intern, in the definition of actions regarding an operational plan for local biodiversity and landscape, elaboration of several field guides in regards to native flora species, and some fieldwork in host animal plants maintenance; Additionally, I gained experience in tourism and sales, as a sales technician, I made recommendations to tourists by providing them information and helped them make selections by utilizing the multiple languages I have acquired. At present, I have an advanced knowledge of the Portuguese, English and Spanish languages, yet have intermediate and basic knowledge in French and Italy, respectively. In 2018 I have integrared the financial working area, as an account manager support, learning about dynamics and relationships between financial markets, issuing companies and shareholders in the corporate action business. I have started a new career in IT business, by entering in a coding academy and gaining some knowledge in some programming languages, web development and database tools. Currently I work as an IT consultant, especially with Database tools and Linux Systems, providing managed services in the telecommunications working area. With the experience of today, I aim to keep taking advantage of all knowledge accumulated during my student career, plus the skills that were acquired in my professional experience. These gave me the necessary tools, social and organisational capacities to work in highly challenging and team oriented environments.
