About Afsheen Raza

I am a senior research and academic professional with extensive experience in cutting-edge molecular biology/immunology research in cancer. I have trained in Cancer Biology and Therapeutics from Harvard Medical School, USA and in Health Sciences at The Aga Khan University. My primary research focuses on studying tumor-host immune interactions to immunotherapeutic strategies. I am also involved in establishing immune-monitoring platforms/analytical tools to evaluate novel immune- modulators and work on cancer antigen specific immune cells that will serve as a foundation for future translational research. I have extensive experience of conducting large study grants including clinical trials. I am open to networking and collaborating on large multi-center clinical studies. I have more than ten years research experience and over 50 peer-reviewed publications in high impact journals and 4 book chapters. I am also an academic editor for peer reviewed journals such as Plos One, Frontiers in Immunology and Intech Open book on Immune checkpoint inhibitors. I am an active reviewer for high impact journals such as Frontiers in immunology, Frontiers in Medicine, Cells and Cancers. Throughout my career, I have worked at leading academic centers and was actively involved in teaching and supervising masters and PhD students and training of clinical fellows in Molecular Biology and Immunology.
