About Aftaab Dewan
I recently finished my Ph.D in Physics from the University of Maryland, and I am now looking forward to what's next. My thesis was a simulation of a BEC in a dynamical system(A breathing lattice), which was done in Python and Mathematica. Over the course of doing the simulation, I learned how to manage large data sets, from analysis to interpretation. In addition, I have extensive experience working in an AMO lab, and I'm very familiar with optical systems and cold atom experiments. I've also developed a familiarity for LabVIEW and it's usage in experiment control. I did my candidacy research on using Monte Carlo simulations to solve difficult ground state systems.
