About Agnes-Evelin Mare

Officially an economist, I have spent the last few years cultivating, through actions, my core belief that education is the answer for a balanced world. Today's school system is a helpful tool for mostly theoretical knowledge, but more than that, focus on integrating healthy values and learning emotional and mental care are at the basis of evolution, in my personal opinion. For this, and because of my personal need of contributing to this world, I'd been working and volunteering in different organizations in varied roles. I've discovered what it means to be an educator, in Lithuania and Romania, being responsible for children aged 2 to 14, from disadvantaged families, but not only. For a short while, I've got familiar with being a community development facilitator, by working in an NGO on a project that concerned two marginalized communities from Cluj county. Further, I discovered that the role I most resonate with is the one in which I am an organizer and project coordinator. I've understood that coming together with people and working on a common purpose that is meant to be useful for others is extremely rewarding and creates change. This we have done mainly in the Minte Forte organization, working on the Personal Development and Pycho-Education project, but through other programs as well. Going from educator, to trainer, to community facilitator, then to organizer and coordinator, made me realize there are various roles that bring change and I am able to do.
