About Agnes Ong

Agnes comes with 20 years of diverse experiences in various industries e.g. Recruitment, Education, Corporate training, Oil & Gas and Petrochemical. As a graduate in Chemical Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic, Agnes grew her experience in Sulzer Chemtech undertaking technical support, sales and marketing activities throughout Asia Pacific region. Her regional exposures are gained through technical and commercial management of activities such as generating new business leads, providing technical solutions, negotiations, budgeting and costing, project management, and establishing excellent coordination with both internal and external stakeholders. As mass transfer is one of the core function in most chemical applications, proficiency in chemical processes (e.g. Refining, Petrochemical or Gas) is essential. After 10 years in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry, Agnes expanded on her experience to be a “head-hunter” specializing in mid-level to senior-level roles for Chemicals, Water sector as well as Agriculture. She developed her skill sets in providing professional consultation on talent / employment markets to the companies, interview process, interpreting profiling tools as well as salary package negotiation. Combining all her past experience, Agnes is motivated to value-add to the education industry as a Career Coach. In career coaching, she guides students in making informed career development plans as well as being industry-ready. To stay constantly relevant to the industry, forging and building of industry collaborations enable career opportunities for students and similarly partner companies in building their talent pipeline with right-fit candidates.
